Caring for your Substance Exposed Child

Where: Kids & Families Together- 864 E. Santa Clara St. Ventura

This class will discuss the effects of prenatal substance use on the newborn. We will cover tips and techniques to use in caring for an infant who may be experiencing withdrawal symptoms including feeding issues, sleep concerns and developmental delays. Learning how to recognize and respond to infant cues will be included.

Participants will receive credit for 2 hours of training upon completion of the class. Meets Foster VC Kids criteria for “substance exposed children.”
