Safe Haven for Young Women Now Open!
Kids & Families Together is happy to announce that Alice’s House, a cooperative living home for emancipated youth has opened! Named after internationally known social justice activist, Alice McGrath, Alice’s House will provide a safe haven for young women 18-24 who have “aged out” of the foster care system. While living here, they will have the opportunity to live, grow, and receive the instruction and nurturing to continue their journey towards a healthy and responsible independent living.

Counseling Services
Eligibility: Families participating in a therapeutic process
Goal: Attachment-focused interventions based on a relational model of change
Services: Theraplay® and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy both of which are recognized for their efficacy in dealing with attachment resistant children and adolescents.

EPSDT – Early Periodic Screening Diagnostic and Treatment
In Partnership with Ventura Behavorial Health
Eligibility: Medi-cal eligible children/youth
Goal: Provide In-home and/or in-office family therapy and case management services
Services: Family driven in-home and/or in-office counseling and case management and support services focusing on attachment issues utilizing Theraplay® and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy

KNSP – Kinship Navigator & Services Program
In partnership with Children & Family Services.
Eligibility: Kinship (relative and non-relative) caregivers with court dependent & non dependent children.
Services: Provides Relative Approval Trainings, case management, education and support services to kinship families.

PET (Peer Education and Training)
In partnership with Ventura College.
Eligibility: Ventura County Foster Parents
Services: Connects new foster parents with experienced foster parents providing support and information to help caregivers raise children and navigate the Child Welfare System.

PSSF (Permanency Support)
In partnership with Ventura County Children & Family Services.
FAMILY ATTACHMENT MODEL (FAM)
PERMANENT ATTACHMENT THERAPY (PAT)
Eligibility: Pre and Post Adoptive Families, Guardianship and Long-term Placement
Goal: Provide In-home and/or in-office family therapy and Case Management Services
Services: Weekly therapy sessions focused on therapeutic parenting techniques helping to increase the child’s security of attachment to the caregiver.

RAP (Relational Assesment Program)
In partnership with Ventura County Children & Family Services.
Eligibility: Birth families from within the Child Welfare System
Goal: To provide short term in-home therapeutic family support services.
Services: Participation and completion of 16-week in-home therapeutic support program (focused on the development and support of good attachments). An initial thorough assessment of family needs utilizing standardized assessment measures and a technique for the observation of adult and child in interaction with one another.

SET (Support & Educatoin and Training)
In partnership with Ventura College.
Eligibility: Foster and Kinship Caregivers within Ventura County Child Welfare
Goal: Stabilize placement by providing in-home education, training and support services
Services: Weekly in-home services specializing in topics relevant to caregivers of children who have experienced trauma, loss, grief, prenatal drug and/or alcohol exposure and multiple placement changes.
