She is a Parent Coach Consultant with Parenting Matters Consulting and is a certified Love & Logic Instructor. \nLove and Logic dedicated to making parenting and teaching fun and rewarding\, instead of stressful and chaotic. We will have plenty of time for questions and answers. \nPart 1– New Placement Packet presented by Ivon Sanchez\, LCSW Administrative Specialist III \nVentura County Children and Family Services has updated the existing Foster Family Home Placement Packet in order to reflect the agency’s current business practices and expectations for caregivers. \nThe goal is to ensure: \n\nCaregiver(s) have the necessary information to best meet the needs of children in out-of-home care\nInformation is in line with the Resource Family Approval Program and the Quality Parenting Initiative\n\nPart 2– Comfort Calls presented by Mirna Pina\, LCSW\, MSPH Community Services Coordinator \nComfort calls are phone calls between a caregiver and parent after removal or upon arrival of a child to a caregiver’s home to allow parents to share information directly with a caregiver about the day-to-day needs of the child and to support a positive co-parenting relationship.
