The Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) was created in May 1998 to provide post-adoption counseling and educational services to families, educators, child welfare staff, and mental health providers in Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, D.C. In addition, C.A.S.E. is a national resource for families and professionals through its training, publications, and consultations. C.A.S.E. is a private, non-profit adoptive family support center. Ventura County F.O.O.D Share: FOOD Share collects and receives food year-round to help feed hungry families and individuals throughout Ventura County.  Food is distributed by 155 partners and agencies (such as Kids & Families Together). This network of partners provides the pantries, congregate meal sites, brown bag-USDA distributions and produce outreach efforts. Thirteen sites are able to distribute healthy snacks to children through their after-school programs. www.foodshare.com

Health Care Access

ACE Program for Adults: The ACE Program is not health insurance or an entitlement program. It is a program made possible by a $10 million grant awarded to Ventura County by the California Department of Health Services. The program is designed to provide individuals with comprehensive outpatient and inpatient health care services, including specialty care. Once enrolled, you can access care at any facility operated by the Ventura County Medical Center, including Santa Paula Hospital, the VCMC Ambulatory Care System, Behavioral Health Clinics and the Public Health Preventive Health Clinics.  http://www.vchca.org/ace.htm

Healthy Families:  Healthy Families is low cost insurance for children and teens. It provides health, dental and vision coverage to children who do not have insurance and do not qualify for free Medi-Cal.
